Plague Project

The idea to create a band, which later got the name Plague Project, was born 2001, when two people got each other to know: Snuff (vocal) and Pet (keyboard). Later Lin (guitar), M.D. Psycho (guitar), Keim (bass) and Selena (back vocal) joined them and in this formation the band began to prepare material. The musical orientation was symphonic black metal in that time. Right from the start was set the task to create something of top quality and non-standard, so no one rushed to the stage because, as known, a good result needs long-time work. During the whole preparation phase the band experimented with it sound and recorded it for later evaluation. Some compositions were presented to audience for judgement at gothic parties because Snuff and later Pet became DJs there. Eventually the band could react to the audience's opinion.

During their whole existence time the band developed their performance skills and their equipment qualities. After some time the band decided to add electronic elements to the music and by that decision modernise the sound a little bit. The technical skills allowed this already. As a result of this many gothic and industrial Elements appeared in the sound. It is also important to annotate that Plague Project don't fix to any concrete style to create own unique and especial music.

Some part of material was completed in the summer of 2004 and the band began the preparations for live performances. Eternal joined the band as a drummer so the band's manning was complete. In the autumn of 2004 Plague Project release a four track demo and held on December 11th their first live performance on the stage in ..R-Club... After the first few performances people began to talk about the band and an offer to perform as a headliner was made only months after the very first performance. Plague Project received offers to take part in several different audio and video compilations. During the same year one of the band's songs sounded in an issue of the television magazine ..Okna.., which was dedicated to the dark scene. During the same time a first remix of a Plague Project's creation appeared made by the not unknown in Russia industrial/EMB band T.3.R. On internet sites dedicated to the metal genre more and more attention was paid to Plague Project in concert review sections. Finally on November 2nd of 2005 the band performed for it's first time as a headline in the not unknown club ..Tochka...

However like every band Plague Project hat it's dark chapters and parted 2005 with M.D, Psycho Selena and Eternal. For some time Daniel played the drums but he also left the band soon and was replaced by Elektricon, who did three remixes for the band before. He brought many new ideas to the band and the outcome was the remaster of the first album.

Some songs were published at the site Audiostreet.net, where the got relative good positions. (Top 1= in cathegory ..Gothic Metal..)

On April 30th of 2006 Plague Project were interviewed by first Russian channel ORT for a documentation film. Film was shown on TV 14 February 2007

In the autumn of 2006 Pet and Electricon left the band for different reason. Their places were taken by the drummer RavenDark and the keyboarder Norther. From this moment a new chapter began for Plague Project and it was decided to reintroduce the second guitar, so the guitarist Fin was invited to the band. But this won't change anything in the music style .. it will be held on!

On January 17th 2007 the band releases their debut album "Children of Plague Project".
